Yes, to earn the MITx MicroMasters program credential in Principles of Manufacturing, you must be enrolled on the certificate/verified (paid) track on MIT Learn. This means you need to earn a course certificate in each of the eight Principles of Manufacturing courses.
To earn a certificate, you must complete the payment for each course before the payment deadline and achieve a passing score in the course. Additionally, there are four virtually proctored final exams that you must pass in order to receive the program credential. These exams are administered within four of the courses in the program.
The courses that include a proctored final exam are:
- Manufacturing Process Control II
- Manufacturing Systems II
- Management in Engineering: Strategy and Leadership
- Supply Chains for Manufacturing: Capacity Analytics
To earn a course certificate, you need to pass the course as a paid learner and pass the final exam. Only scores achieved as a paid learner will count towards earning a course certificate. If you do not pass a course or wish to retake a course to improve your score, you will need to make the payment again for that course.
