Considering that the first course, Machine Learning, Modeling, and Simulation Principles, mainly focuses on the foundational aspects and principles of machine learning, while the second course, Applying Machine Learning to Engineering and Science, delves into the practical applications of machine learning, the Course Team strongly recommends that most learners take the program's courses in sequential order. Learners who hold a master’s degree or higher in Engineering, possess proficiency in the prerequisite mathematics (specifically Linear Algebra), and have recent work experience in this or a related field within the past 5 years may find themselves capable of starting with course 2. However, for most learners, starting with course 1 is advised.
