Earning the SCM MicroMasters Program Credential provides opportunities to apply it for credit towards a graduate degree at various universities worldwide. These universities offer pathways that recognize the SCM MicroMasters courses completed, and may grant credit or waive certain requirements of their graduate programs.
To explore the currently available pathways to graduate degrees, visit the SCM MicroMasters Pathways to Graduate Degrees page, which provides more information about the institutions and programs that accept the SCM MicroMasters credential. Once you have obtained the MITx MicroMasters Program Credential, you can apply to these Master's programs. Upon acceptance, the program will assess your MicroMasters credential and determine the credit you can receive or the requirements that can be waived, enabling you to complete the master's degree more efficiently than usual.
Institutions and graduate programs not listed on a MicroMasters Program's Pathways Page are not required to recognize the Program Credential as equivalent to or interchangeable with graduate credits. If you are interested in a graduate program at an institution that is not currently listed as a pathway, we would love to know about it and perhaps build a credit pathway with that institution. Please have a staff or faculty member from the graduate program connect with us at mitx.micromasters@mit.edu.
It is important to note that the admissions, acceptance, and credit transfer policies may vary across universities. Learners are strongly advised to carefully review the specific requirements and arrangements for each institution they are interested in pursuing for graduate study.
