Payments made towards courses, programs, and other items on the MIT Learn platform are eligible for a refund during their Refund Eligibility Period. Exceptional refunds may also be available under extenuating circumstances. The availability of refunds and the process for requesting refunds are subject to the MIT Learn Terms of Service.
In general, refunds for purchases of courses and programs on the MIT Learn platform are available if you formally request a refund within the Refund Eligibility Period for the purchase.
|
You do not need to unenroll—and we do not recommend that you unenroll—from either courses or programs before requesting a refund. If you unenroll from a course or program, you may be able to re-enroll again later without additional payment, even if you do not receive a refund! |
Refund Eligibility Period
Payments submitted for courses or programs on the MIT Learn platform are eligible for refund until seven (7) days after payment or seven (7) days after the start of the course session for which payment was made—whichever is later. However, the Refund Eligibility Period cannot exceed 170 days after the date of payment in any case. Once the Refund Eligibility Period for a purchase ends, all payment is final with no exceptions.
Additionally, once you have completed a course or program—regardless of whether you earned a certificate—it is no longer eligible for a refund, regardless of timing.
Please refer to the MIT Learn Terms of Service for specific details.
