MITx offers a wide range of online learning opportunities designed to make MIT-quality education accessible to global learners. These include:
MITx MOOC Courses and Programs
MITx offers a variety of MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses), both as individual courses and multi-course series/programs. These courses are open to learners from around the world and are not limited to a certain number of enrolled learners. They are generally created from or inspired by residential MIT courses and span the full breadth of MIT's academic programs.

MITx MicroMasters Programs
MITx also offers several MITx MicroMasters programs. These multi-course programs deliver rigorous, graduate-level coursework taught by MIT faculty, teaching mastery in a specific field, and provide pathways toward earning a full graduate degree at MIT and/or participating partner institutions.

Further Learning Opportunities: MicroMasters Pathways to Graduate Degrees
All MITx MicroMasters Programs offer Pathways from the MicroMasters Program Credential to a full graduate degree at participating institutions around the world.

Institutions and programs not listed on a MicroMasters Program's Pathways Page are not required to recognize the Program Credential as equivalent to or interchangeable with graduate credits. If you are interested in a graduate program at an institution not currently listed as a pathway, MITx would like to hear from you. We may be able to build a credit pathway with the institution. Please have a staff or faculty member from the specific graduate program reach out to the MITx team at mitx.micromasters@mit.edu.
