To complete the MITx MicroMasters Program in Data, Economics, and Design of Policy (DEDP) and earn the MicroMasters Program Credential, a learner must earn the Course Certificates for five DEDP MicroMasters courses corresponding to one of the two DEDP Program Tracks, as follows:
How To Earn the DEDP MicroMasters Program Credential
All DEDP learners must pass all three core courses:

- 14.100x Microeconomics
- JPAL102x Designing and Running Randomized Evaluations
- 14.310x Data Analysis for Social Scientists
All learners must also pass two of their chosen Program Track's Elective Courses. One elective must be an Advanced Elective.

International Development Track (choose 2; one must be Advanced)
- 14.73x The Challenges of Global Poverty (Introductory)
- 14.740x Foundations of Development Policy (Advanced)
- 14.750x Political Economy and Economic Development (Advanced)
Public Policy Track (choose 2; one must be Advanced)
- 14.009x Good Economics for Hard Times (Introductory)
- 14.444x Energy Economics and Policy (Introductory)
- 14.003x Microeconomic Theory and Public Policy (Advanced)
- 14.194x Frontiers of Applied Economics (Advanced)
How To Earn a DEDP MicroMasters Course Certificate
To earn the Course Certificate for a DEDP MicroMasters course, a learner must do all of the following:
- Enroll in a session of the course
- Submit payment for the course session before its Payment Deadline
- Sit for the course’s Proctored Final Exam
- Achieve a high enough Total Course Score (combined Coursework and Proctored Exam Scores) to meet the course's passing score

Special Notes
Legacy DEDP learners who earned the Course Certificate for 14.009x Good Economics for Hard Times before the launch of the two DEDP MicroMasters Program Tracks in September 2023 may still count their completion of 14.009x towards completion of the International Development Track, even though that course is now part of the other Track.
